Kylie Gregge, Partner Kylie is a founding member of the Global Investment & Innovation Incentives (Gi³) practice in the UK, leads the Gi³ practice for North South Europe and the UK, and has over 20 years experience assisting clients to fully optimise incentive opportunities in the UK and globally. Kylie’s experience in supporting hundreds of businesses across various sectors provides clients with the highest quality management and execution of effective incentives strategies. Kylie has worked with a number of government bodies, both in the UK and overseas, in the development and design of their incentive policies. She also has a wealth of experience in developing methodologies and leveraging technology for operational efficiency to gain a clear vision of relevant incentives opportunities. She is a qualified solicitor in NSW, Australia and joined Deloitte in 2002. |

Paul Clay, Partner Paul is a Partner within the Innovation Tax Services group of our Gi³ practice based in London. He has more than 16 years’ experience advising clients on R&D tax issues. His experience started within the corporation tax practice which has given him a broad knowledge of the tax issues affecting companies, whilst his specialisation in R&D tax has led to a deep understanding of the R&D regimes and interpretation of the legislation. Paul’s experience enables him to assist clients with all aspects of their R&D claims, overseeing the whole R&D claim process and successfully managing the interactions with HMRC. |

Peter Millwood, Partner Peter is a Partner in the London tax depreciation team. Peter is one of four full time partners within Deloitte’s capital allowances practice. His team consists of over 50 full-time capital allowances specialists based in a number of offices around the UK. Peter has been specialising in capital allowances for over 20 years and worked with a broad range of clients. Peter is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor as well as a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians. |

Stephen Perry, Partner Steve leads Deloitte’s Consumer Business tax depreciation practice, and advises property-rich businesses in all aspects of capital allowances and associated reliefs, including the deployment of systems and processes to track and record eligible expenditure. Steve specialised in tax depreciation over 20 years ago and led PwC’s practice for a number of years before joining Deloitte. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Association of Tax Technicians. |

Sarah Lord, Partner Sarah is a Partner in our Gi³ practice and has over 20 years’ experience working in international and UK corporate tax. Sarah specialises in R&D and Patent Box tax incentives and leads the firm’s Patent Box practice including the liaison with HMRC and HMT on Patent Box tax relief. Sarah also works with colleagues across the Deloitte Network on tax incentives reliefs as wells as the taxation of Intangibles. |

Pavel Delvig, Director Pavel is a Director in the London tax depreciation advisory team. Pavel leads the capital allowances due diligence and structuring of real estate transactions, and advises clients from a broad range of industries on tax depreciation opportunities. He also has experience in specialist consultancy projects, such as the design and implementation of bespoke expenditure tracking systems and discussions with HMRC. Pavel is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. |

Clare Donaldson, Director Clare is a Director in our specialist Tax Depreciation group, part of our Gi³ practice in London. Her core focus is providing tax advice to privately owned groups, including private equity backed businesses, on opportunities to secure tax savings and enhanced reliefs in relation to capital expenditure. Her client base includes businesses operating in the Infrastructure, Real Estate, Licensed Retail and Retail sectors. |

Reena Malde, Director Reena is a highly experienced R&D tax practioner with 14 years’ experience, working with a wide range of companies, with particular focus on Fintechs, Technology and Lifescience industries. She leads a team in providing assistance to privately-owned and PE-backed businesses, especially high-growth companies claiming under the R&D scheme for SMEs. Reena is a qualified Chartered Accountant and also has a degree in Chemistry. |

Gareth Newport, Director Gareth leads our industry focus in the fast paced, continually evolving IT sector. His academic background includes both computing and accounting disciplines which enables him to really understand his Client’s latest innovations. He has been helping companies to identify and apply for incentives most suited to their business strategy for over 20 years. Gareth has previously held similar roles in Australia, Singapore and New Zealand, ensuring international best practice is applied wherever development activities may be located. Like his clients, Gareth is passionate about innovation and is constantly looking for new ways to make Government incentive claim processes faster; easier; clearer; and more robust. |

Barney Toy, Director Barney is a Director in our Gi3 practice with more than 8 years experience helping companies submit robust incentive claims. He leads Gi3’s Industrial Products and Construction (IP&C) sector and has extensive experience across the entire spectrum of R&D, from multi-million pound internationally renowned mega-projects to the cutting edge in Net Zero Carbon and alternative power generation. He is one of the teams most experienced project managers on large and complex engagements, and has been involved in submitting some of the largest claims in the UK. He is also heavily involved in Gi3’s R&D technology offering, and advises clients around the world on its usage. Barney holds a first class degree in Mathematics from Kings College London, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. |

Jonathan Eastgate, Director Jonathan is a market focused R&D advisor with over 8 years’ experience at Deloitte and 5 years in industry. Jonathan has applied this deep sector knowledge and background as an engineer to manage and grow a client portfolio that encompasses several of the largest Energy & Resources businesses with a key focus on Energy Transition and ESG.Jonathan leads the engineering team within Gi3, specialising in complex claims often global in nature across multiple jurisdictions. Jonathan advises clients on developing R&D claim methodologies, as well as accessing external funding opportunities such as grants to accelerate technology development. |

Adam Cook, Director Adam is a Director in our Gi3 practice based in London, having joined the firm in 2011. He has 12 years' experience supporting businesses optimise their capital allowances position, primarily in the Real Estate sector, though he has also advised clients across the infrastructure, sports, hospitality and finance sectors. |

Maciej van der Steen, Director Maciej has a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering. Following his graduation, he worked in Luxembourg for five years, assisting companies secure grants and tax incentives across Europe, from European and national funding sources. After moving to the UK, Maciej developed the R&D tax and grants practice of a tax advisory firm, specialising mostly in UK grants. |

Hazel Gray, Partner Hazel is a Partner within the Innovation Tax Services group of our Gi³ practice based in Aberdeen. She joined Deloitte in July 2008. Her previous experience within business tax has given her a broad insight into businesses which have a focus on innovation, liaising closely with them to understand their commercial and tax issues in order to deliver tax efficient ideas and solutions. |

Sarah Goodman, Director Sarah is a Director in our Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi³) practice based in Leeds. She has more than 15 years’ experience advising clients on corporate tax matters, including tax reliefs for innovation. Her experience has given her a broad insight into the full range of development activities that qualify for tax relief, whilst her specialisation in corporation tax has led to an understanding of HMRC’s approach and interpretation of the legislation. |

Richard Ward, Director Richard has over 12 years’ experience within tax depreciation and has worked across the UK on complex projects including high value investments where client expenditure has exceeded £1bn. Richard’s role on an engagement typically involves the strategic management and delivery of the project, which can often include collaboration with our R&D network in order to optimise the wider incentives position. More recently, Richard has also worked with a broad range of businesses to provide specialist advice in respect of the “super-deduction”. Richard also has a leadership role within Deloitte’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Client and Industry Group and is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. |

David Clarke, Director A Chartered Chemical Engineer, Dave gained extensive experience in a range of product / process development and production management roles in the Agrochemical and Pharma sectors before joining Deloitte. He now has over 16 years’ experience in the preparation of R&D tax claims, and specializes in claims within the process industries, manufacturing and engineering sectors for new company start-ups to multinationals. In addition to his R&D role, Dave now also assists a range of clients on grant funding opportunities, supporting both R&D and environmental improvement activity. Dave collaborates closely with other Deloitte teams across Europe and globally and enjoys helping clients to explore innovation incentives beyond the UK. Dave has an M.Eng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College and an MBA from Bradford University. |

David Clarke, Director Gavin is a Director in our Gi3 practice based across Scotland, having joined the firm in 2015. He has 8+ years' experience supporting businesses optimise their innovation and sustainability incentives across a variety of sectors.Gavin is an industry-experienced engineer, having worked in both the Aerospace & Defence sector (with one of the largest FTSE-listed, multinational defence contractors) and Oil & Gas industry (with a small technology advisory start-up focussed on specialist analyses to support supermajor operators) prior to his time at Deloitte.With over 10 years' experience advising the offshore energy industry and his knowledge of the technological challenges faced by organisations in this space, Gavin has a deep specialist knowledge on optimising claim values and preparation methodologies in the sector, with a particular focus on upstream oil and gas companies. He regularly leads discussions around the impact of R&D claims in the upstream sector in conjunction with the UK Oil Industry Tax committee to provide meaningful updates and legislative interpretations to their corporate membership.Gavin leads the UK Gi3 team's focus on ESG and sustainability and plays a key role in the UK Tax & Legal and broader firm's ESG strategy. He also co-leads the firm's Proud network in Scotland, an initiative connecting sharing affinity around LGBTQI+ across the member firms.He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2011 with a first-class Masters in Aeronautical Engineering. |

Andrew Brook, Partner Andy is a Partner in Deloitte’s award winning national Tax Depreciation practice with two decades experience advising on capital allowances related issues, transactions, claims and agreements with HMRC and new precedents with HMRC’s technical and policy teams. Andy has participated in HM Treasury working groups on the capital allowances regime to agree an industry wide position for infrastructure clients. Other experience includes long life assets, fixtures restrictions on transactions and eligibility of assets. |

Rob Barker, Director Rob is a Director in our Global Investment and Innovation Incentives Group (Gi³) with more than 15 years’ experience of advising dynamic companies on the UK incentives available to them. Rob splits his time between our Reading, Bristol and Cardiff offices and his specialism is in providing R&D and Patent Box Services to both listed and privately owned groups. Rob has also worked with various universities and trade associations to help bring the Innovation incentives to the businesses that will benefit most from the regimes. |

Adam Kirkpatrick, Director Adam is a Director in our Corporate Tax team based in Birmingham. He leads the Midlands Innovation Tax team within Deloitte’s Gi³ practice in the UK and has a wealth of experience spanning all sectors (particularly manufacturing and health & life sciences). Adam is project lead for a number of Deloitte’s largest multinational clients, dealing with a number of UK inbound clients for complex, multisite businesses and is a specialist in UK R&D and Patent Box relief as well as the taxation of UK intangibles. |

Nacho Veloso, Director Nacho is a member of the Tax Depreciation Team within our Gi³ practice and has worked for Deloitte for 19 years. Nacho’s work has included a number of projects for clients in a variety of sectors, particularly retail, hospitality & leisure and manufacturing sectors. This has comprised reviews of ongoing property acquisitions, construction and refurbishments, as well as large retrospective reviews of clients’ property expenditure, which have yielded large tax refunds. Nacho has often acted as a central point to ensure capital allowances and other property related tax issues are addressed. |

Richard White, Director Richard specialises in providing advice on fixed asset tax depreciation, such as capital allowances and land remediation relief, to clients undertaking complex capital projects in most business sectors. After amassing thirty years of experience across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, US and Southeast Asia, he now focusses on Utilities and the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector within Deloitte’s Gi3 practice. |
