Andy Whitton

Andy has been with the firm since 1990, A qualified chartered accountant, Andy has worked in IT Risk for over 25 years. Specialising in data and analytics, and focuses on the financial services sector, in particular retail banking and insurance.

Andy holds the UK firms first patent for an IT platform he designed and built called Spotlight, that became the firms’ global external audit analytics platform.

Andy currently leads the Risk Analytics Solutions practice, delivering innovative solutions to clients ranging from Regulatory Change support tools to Voice and Vocal analysis to support conduct risk assessments.

Representative engagements include:

• For a global bank, Andy led a project to identify and validate the security of their most important data across some 7000 applications.
• For the EMEA countries of a global bank Andy led a team to help the client design, build, test and implement a solution to meet the European Directive on the Deposit Guarantee Scheme, a topic in which Andy is one of the UK’s genuine SMEs.
• For a UK organisation Andy has led a review of the integrity of their core operational application to validate the accuracy and completeness of the transaction flows through it to provide operational and legal comfort.
