A select group of independent members comprises our judging panel

Canada’s Best Managed Companies applications are reviewed each year by a judging panel that decides which companies will be awarded the ‘Best Managed’ designation. This judging panel is comprised of members from each of our program sponsors and rotating special guest representatives.

Anne Marie Infilise

Anne Marie Infilise is the President of Quadra Chemicals Ltd., a leading distributor of chemicals, ingredients and customized solutions.  Quadra, a privately held family business, has been recognized as one of Canada's Best Managed Companies since 2003.

Brent Hesje


CEO of Fountain Tire Ltd. an Edmonton based, privately owned, tire business that ranks in the top 10 tire chains in North America. Fountain Tire has been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies since 1994.

Christopher Pfaff


President and CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners, one of the largest premium automotive dealer groups in Canada.  Chris continues to oversee the strategic direction of the company set on continued growth.

Summer Fresh Founder and President, Susan Niczowski was attracted early to the food industry. Since than, she has repeatedly reshaped the fine food landscape with an ever-evolving line of gourmet dips, salads and hummus, and has over 30 years of experience in the food industry ranging from Quality Assurance, to Food Service, Retail and Manufacturing.

David Sculthorpe

David Sculthorpe is a seasoned business leader with experience both as an entrepreneur and a corporate executive. Before joining Smith School of Business to lead its executive education portfolio, he held leadership positions such as: CEO of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, President Cadbury Adams Canada, Regional President Warner Lambert Co. and Regional President Pfizer Co. in South America and most recently was Managing Director of Compass Rose Advisors. David has led workplace innovation and talent development, mergers and acquisitions, integrations, turnarounds and transformational change initiatives in Canada, United States, South America, Asia and globally.
