Deloitte named a global leader in Canadian Security Services by IDC
Toronto, July 12, 2018 — Deloitte announced today that International Data Corporation (IDC) has named it a global leader in Canadian Security Services in their report entitled, IDC MarketScape: Canadian Security Services 2018 Vendor Assessment.
“In a constantly evolving security environment, this accolade serves as a strong testament to Deloitte’s ongoing commitment to aid our clients in navigating these complexities,” said Nick Galletto, Global and Canadian Cyber Risk Leader at Deloitte. “Our depth and breadth of knowledge advising clients, running their security operations and aligning cyber risk with business risks, including the use of innovation and emerging technologies to deliver superior services will continue to drive business value and growth in Canada.”
According to IDC, “Security services involve a holistic view of all activities necessary to plan, design, build, and manage information security across the enterprise IT infrastructure.” Kevin Lonergan, senior analyst, Infrastructure Solutions at IDC noted, “Few security providers can match Deloitte's presence in IT consulting and professional security services.”
The IDC MarketScape report, which assesses the capability and business strategy of the leading business consulting organizations, recognizes Deloitte as a leader based on capabilities and strategies. IDC describes the MarketScape as “a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the characteristics that explain a vendor's success in the marketplace and help anticipate the vendor's ascendancy.”
- “Deloitte combines managed and professional security services into a complete security solution — from security strategy through device management to incident response and forensics.”
- “Deloitte is further evolving its security capabilities with cloud compass (an overall approach to support migration to the cloud), next-generation security monitoring, advanced hunting, cognitive computing, blockchain, and additional threat intelligence.”
- “Deloitte has made significant investments in employee recruitment and community development through partnerships with academic institutions and its own internal programs.”
