Benoit Clouâtre has more than 16 years of experience advising companies on corporate restructuring and financing. He is also a regional market leader in Deloitte Canada's Financial Advisory group, which offers transactional advisory, forensic and dispute, litigation, analytical, infrastructure, restructuring and valuation services throughout Quebec and the Ottawa region.
He has advised clients on cash flow forecasting, working capital management, liquidity issues, loan and covenant issues, capital raising, restructuring, and insolvency contingency planning.
Benoit’s experience includes mandates in the following sectors: manufacturing, pulp and paper, telecommunications, finance, and real estate.
His involvement in the asset-backed commercial paper (ABCP) file allowed him to acquire knowledge in related financial products and contracts, and the underlying assets supporting their value.
In addition, his recent involvement in the Homburg Invest Inc. case gave him the opportunity to deepen his understanding of the fields of real-estate and cross-border restructuring.
He is also a Licensed Insolvency Trustee and a Chartered Professional Accountant.
