Tony Cocuzzo

Tony has over 30 years of experience in providing both advisory and assurance services to a wide range of entities, focusing primarily on global asset managers and real estate entities, including reporting issuers registered with both the Ontario Securities Commission and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as institutional investors.

Tony serves as the Canadian sector leader for Asset Management and Real Estate, and is a member of the Firm’s Global Executive for both sectors. In this role, he has overall responsibility for collaboration across Deloitte’s Asset Management and Real Estate network, including innovation and thought leadership, regional delivery of certain services and the development of industry programs and competencies across the member firms.

Tony previously led the public company audit practice in Canada and IFRS and Securities Offering Services practice in Toronto.

Specific expertise and experience that Tony brings in serving his clients include financial reporting, business process and internal controls, risk management and capital markets transactions in Canada and the United States, as well as a strong fundamental understanding of valuation and taxation.

Tony attended the University of Toronto obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, and he is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant. He also serves as Chair of the Catholic Children Aid Foundation and the President of the Canadian-Italian Business and Professional Association.
