Continued success: Deloitte Switzerland appoints 21 new partners

Zurich/Geneva, 1 June 2022

On June 1, 2022, the accounting and consulting firm Deloitte Switzerland promoted 21 employees to partners. This reflects the company’s strong momentum and continued success in all business divisions and relevant sectors, as well as paving the way for further substantial growth. Around 2,400 people work at Deloitte Switzerland, 137 of whom are partners (as at 1 June).

Since the end of the pandemic, many companies have had a great need for consulting services. Numerous projects have been recommenced this year and new investments initiated. This momentum is also visible in the personnel – the most valuable resource of an auditing and consulting organisation such as Deloitte.

“The promotions are a clear sign of how much confidence we have in the future of the company. They also demonstrate the value of our ongoing talent management efforts over the years,” says Reto Savoia, CEO of Deloitte Switzerland. “Every single one of the promoted employees has demonstrated exceptional abilities. They will all play a key role in the evolution of Deloitte Switzerland and will help to make Swiss companies and public authorities fit for the future. Deloitte’s growth strategy consists of two key elements. On the one hand, we offer an attractive working environment with continuous training and development, a modern infrastructure and a highly attractive client portfolio. On the other hand, we invest heavily and systematically in technology.”

The newly appointed partners work in the areas of consulting, auditing, tax services, financial advisory and risk advisory. Two partners had already joined Deloitte Switzerland from other country organisations during the financial year. The overarching and fast-growing area of sustainability consulting is also being strengthened with additional expertise at partner level.

The promoted employees show just how diverse Deloitte is in terms of career and educational backgrounds, cultures, origins and genders. Almost a third of them are female.

But the company is not stopping there: “Deloitte has long been committed to diversity and equality, and we attach great importance to promoting young talent from within our ranks. To help us achieve our big ambitions, we run mentoring and development programmes for our employees. We want to keep expanding these support measures and, in particular, increase the proportion of women at management level. The number of highly competent female directors and senior managers is already very encouraging in this regard,” says Reto Savoia.
