Ready to think like an entrepreneur? Across a rapidly changing landscape, new ideas are needed more than ever to tackle the energy transition, climate change and protecting our planet. To continue driving conversation and collaboration, The World Economic Forum convened for its 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC) also known as “Summer Davos” in Tianjin, People’s Republic of China. 

Under the 2023 theme of Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy, the meeting brought together over 1,500 global leaders, thinkers, innovators and academics from across business, government and society. 

From idea to impact 
 

As a Strategic Partner of WEF, Deloitte was proud to be participate in this year’s #AMNC23. From Deloitte’s Dora Liu being involved in a panel discussion on the official stage, to our team co-hosting an event with the Tianjin Muncipal Bureau of Commerce on Smart Cities strategy for the future, we brought to life entrepreneurial insights throughout the week.

Co-hosted by Deloitte and the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce during #AMNC23 on Wednesday 28 June, this event brought together industry experts, advisor organizations, leading entrepreneurs, and innovators.

The session covered the present challenges, opportunities, and drivers of sustainable growth amidst the rapid urban development, and also explored ways to balance technology with the needs of citizens.As urban development accelerates, speakers looked at current challenges, opportunities, and drivers of growth—along with how to balance technology with the needs of citizens. 

The event also highlighted the power of policies and the importance of technology for a human-centered approach. Guests will gained insights into the cooperative strategies essential for sustainable urban development and the significant role public-private partnerships play in this process.
