The Future Business of IT

On 11 April, together with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Deloitte hosted the CIO Dinner for a 3^rd consecutive year.

This flagship event in the Deloitte CIO program helps senior IT leaders get ahead and stay ahead of the challenges and changes in their businesses, the IT function and their executive roles. Around 30 CIOs from renowned international and local companies gathered at the Park Hotel, Shanghai with IT & Digital leaders from Deloitte global and China, as well as executives from AWS Greater China, to discuss the trends and opportunities spurred by The Future Business of IT.

Deloitte China Consulting CIM Leader Woolf Huang kicked off the dinner, introducing The Future Business of IT. Jason Wang, General Manager of the AWS China Partner Ecosystem, then gave a welcome speech in which he envisioned the impact that disruptive technology and the cloud will have on enterprises.

AWS China's Enterprise Strategist & Evangelist Xia Zhang then talked about "The Future of Enterprise IT". He pointed out that with the acceleration of digital transformation, almost every enterprise will inevitably face changes, from the need to leave behind rigid and slow old IT to the adoption of innovative, agile, and efficient new technology.

This process is creating enormous business opportunities. Whether it is speeding up business transformation and innovation, quickly embracing new technologies in a more agile way, or using applications such as containers, server-less networks and machine learning that are transforming applications and IT infrastructure, all are indispensable in the promotion of the cloud platform. In addition, AWS is committed to supporting businesses with different needs through its global infrastructure. From infrastructure to core services, application to management and the Internet of Things to artificial intelligence, AWS's services and extensive global coverage provide holistic support for enterprise transformations.

Later on, Deloitte EMEA's Technology Research & Insights Leader Hans van Grieken walked guests through the key findings of the Deloitte Tech Trends 2019 report. The guests interacted enthusiastically with his presentation, offering their insights and interesting comments.
