Deborah DeHaas
Retired – Vice Chair and Partner
Deb is vice chair, Deloitte. She is the former national managing partner of the Center for Board Effectiveness, where she was responsible for Deloitte’s boardroom programs that support corporate boards and directors in fulfilling their governance-related responsibilities. For six-years, she served as the chief inclusion officer for Deloitte, where she drove Deloitte’s strategy to recruit, develop, and promote a diverse workforce and foster an inclusive environment where leaders thrive. She was named to Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Most Influential” list in 2013 and 2014, and to the NACD Directorship 100 from 2015 to 2019, which recognizes influential leaders in corporate governance.
Deb is a noted community leader, serving as a trustee at Northwestern University, a trustee at the University of Denver, vice chair for United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, a director for World Business Chicago, the current board chair of the Civic Consulting Alliance, and a board and executive committee member of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Foundation. Deb serves as a lead client service partner or advisory partner on a number of Deloitte’s most significant clients. She also previously served the US firms of Deloitte as a member of the Board of Directors, as their representative on the Deloitte Canada Board of Directors, as a member of the Executive Committee, and the managing partner for the central region.
