When asked to answer, “Which of the following best describes your level in your company or line of business?” respondents from the United States were included in the survey if they answered (1) top legal executive or (2) report to top legal executive. Although respondents from Australia, Canada, and Europe were included if they worked in any in-house legal function, 99% of the respondents from outside the United States were either the top legal executive or reported to the top legal executive.

*The total percentage exceeds 100% due to rounding of decimal values during percentage calculations.
