Deloitte Legal advises Vonovia on another residential real estate fund with HIH Invest for 500 million euros

The Deloitte Legal Real Estate team led by Berlin partner Dr. Katja Schwenzfeier has again advised DAX-listed Vonovia SE (Vonovia) on the sale and transfer of a real estate to a fund set up specifically for this purpose, in which Vonovia, Germany's largest residential real estate company, and HIH Invest Real Estate GmbH (HIH Invest) participate. The transferred portfolio comprises properties with a total value of approximately EUR 516 million.

The fund, which has now been launched for the second time, comprises around 1,700 high-quality residential units and 8,700 square metres of commercial space. Vonovia will be responsible for property management, while HIH Invest will act as asset and fund manager.

The transferred portfolio consists of ten properties in Berlin, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Leipzig, Dresden, Munich and Falkensee near Berlin, including eight project developments or new buildings and two extensively modernised existing properties. It comprises a variety of property types, including commercial properties, student accommodation, serviced apartments and two- and three-room apartments.

Dr. Katja Schwenzfeier works regularly for the Vonovia Group, most recently managing the sale of a EUR 500 million real estate portfolio to another fund co-founded by Vonovia and HIH Invest, which marked the beginning of the partnership between Vonovia and HIH Invest.
