Energy Law

i.a. Energy Contract Law, German and European Regulatory Law, Renewable Energies

The Deloitte Legal energy team is advising on all aspects of energy law for many years. Our client base consists of domestic and foreign energy utilities (municipal utilities, energy trading companies), (independent) power plant operators (including renewable energy power plants), network operators, energy intensive industrial companies as well as financial investors.

Our advice comprises in particular energy contract law as well as the German and European regulatory law advice. Moreover, we provide comprehensive advice with respect to all aspects of renewable energies. We have also been active in numerous large scale M&A transactions and project financings.

We regularly advice our clients with respect to the best-practice implementation of energy regulatory requirements. We also support our clients in the development of concepts as well as the system integration of innovative technical solutions, e.g. in the fields of e-mobility, intelligent metering and decentralized power production. The enforcement of our clients’ interests in court proceedings form also a part of our core business.
