<Comments from the juries>
Deloitte Tohmatsu Group positions DEI as its one of the most important management strategies and is working to solve the structural issues of society by focusing on "invisible diversities," such as personal backgrounds and identities. Not only is the level of efforts very high, but the Group also has a wide range of initiatives making impacts and leading transformation through DEI -such as collaborating with industries, governments and academia and establishing communities, including women empowerment, establishing the 30% Club in Japan, conducting various seminars, events, and training both internally and externally.
Comment from Rie Okubo, Deloitte Tohmatsu Group DEI Leader
We are honored to receive Best Workplace Accreditation and Semi-Grand Prize over D&I Award 2021.
Deloitte Tohmatsu Group believes that we can build a "Well-being Society" based on mutual empathy and trust between people.
By gaining better understanding of the "differences" we all have and working in a safe and secure environment where everyone can be authentically ourselves, we can ensure and empower “Personal Well-being”, where everyone feels fulfilled as a professional, and keep pursuing self-growth with motivation.
When individuals change a little to create a better society and a better future, these changes are aggregated and eventually become the culture. We will keep making our best efforts to achieve the "Well-being Society" by accumulating such changes.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Deloitte Tohmatsu Group
Deloitte Tohmatsu Group embedded the concept of "Equity" into D&I and has evolved its approach to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). We believe there is no one-size-fits-all, therefore aim to provide equitable support, systems and opportunities for each individual to thrive.
We believe inclusive environment will enable all members to demonstrate their fullest potential and serve as a driving force to create more innovative teams and organizations, and we are positioning and empowering DEI as one of our key management strategies.
