Exclusive Invitation to Sustainability Talk Series

Session 1: C-suite roundtable - Sustainable and Responsible Investment

18 October 2019 | 9.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. | Deloitte, Menara LGB, Kuala Lumpur

Globally, Sustainable and Responsible Investment has gained notable momentum over the past decade. According to the United Nation Principles of Responsible Investment (UNPRI), its 2,300+ signatories, who consist of investment managers, asset owners and service providers, now cover more than US$86.3 trillion assets under management – a 1,300% growth since its inception in 2006.

In Malaysia, the Securities Commission and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) have demonstrated their commitment in shaping Malaysia’s investment community towards embracing sustainable and responsible investment practices. BNM, for example, has recently joined the Central Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), following its issuance of strategy paper and guidance document on Value-based Intermediation (VBI).

Join us in this session catered exclusively for C-suite level executives from financial institutions and listed companies in Malaysia to better understand how they can navigate themselves in the sustainable and responsible investment landscape. We will also discuss how adopting sustainable and responsible investment can benefit an organisation in the long run.
