GST return compliance workshop
Using the right tools to manage compliance
21 January 2016 | Deloitte Malaysia, Menara LGB, Kuala Lumpur
Since 1 April 2015, GST registered businesses have had to compile, prepare and file GST returns as required by law. Preparing a compliant GST return is complex as there are many intricacies to be addressed. Any errors made may result in penalties and also unwanted negative publicity. From 1 January 2016, there will be additional penalties for late payment of GST. This makes it even more important to get the returns right the first time round.
It is therefore crucial that those who are preparers or having responsibility for the GST returns, obtain a good understanding of the preparation and filing process, information required in the returns, common errors made and other guidance to prepare a compliant return.
For this half day workshop, our GST Professionals will highlight the finer details involved in preparation of the GST return, the common mistakes to avoid and the recent developments in GST laws and guidelines.
In addition, we will also have Thomson Reuters, one of the world’s leading source of intelligent information for business and professionals, to share with us how ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Compliance (OITC) tool can assist businesses to manage complex and complicated GST data capture and preparation of filing of GST returns in a more efficient way.
