Michel Bouwens

Active in the Audit Function, I serve clients in the Investment Management Industry, varying from fund managers, private equity houses, to pension funds and broker/ dealers. I am the HR business leader of the FSI community in Amsterdam, which is a growing group of 130 professionals. In this community, we provide Audit & Assurance services for industries as Banking, Insurance, Real Estate, Fintech, Investment Management and Pensions.

Further, at NL level, I am closely involved in the cross-border compliance, where I monitor and mitigate risks of exposure to foreign markets for listed entities.

Lastly, I am a member of the Sector Committee Asset Management of the Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (NBA). 


Actief in de Audit Functie, bedien ik klanten in de Investment Management Industrie, variërend van fondsmanagers, private equity huizen, pensioenfondsen en broker/ dealers. Ik ben de HR business leader van de FSI community in Amsterdam, een groeiende groep van 130 professionals. Binnen deze community leveren wij Audit & Assurance diensten voor sectoren als Banking, Insurance, Real Estate, Fintech, Investment Management en Pensions. 

Verder ben ik op NL-niveau nauw betrokken bij de grensoverschrijdende compliance, waarbij ik risico's van blootstelling aan buitenlandse markten voor beursgenoteerde entiteiten bewaak en beperk. 

Tot slot ben ik lid van de Sectorcommissie Vermogensbeheer van het Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut van Registeraccountants (NBA).
