Roel van der Leij is a Manager at Deloitte Risk Advisory in the Market, ALM & Trading Risk team in the Netherlands. Roel has a passion for helping banks doing responsible business by identifying and measuring their ALM risks to use in / inform (risk) management practices taking into account the bank’s strategy and risk appetite. Roel understands cross-departmental interests (e.g. between risk, finance, treasury and business) and can help bridge the knowledge gap. Further, he has experience with SREP, ICAAP/ILAAP and IRRBB regulation and understands supervisory expectations.
