Simone Pelkmans

I am a Partner in the Legal team and focus on Food and Consumer Product companies to ensure they understand and comply with existing and upcoming legal frameworks.

In 1995 I started my professional life at Nauta Dutilh in the Intellectual Property Law and Company Law departments. I moved to Unilever in 1999 where I first focused on Intellectual Property Law and Marketing Law. Since 2013 I have fulfilled General Counsel and Leadership roles in Global and Local Business teams, resulting in broadening and deepening my legal knowledge and leadership skills. In the last 5 years I was the General Counsel and board member of Unilever Netherlands and Belgium.

As a kid I wanted to become a chef in my own restaurant. Cooking continues to be my favorite hobby. Whenever possible I try new recipes in which vegetables are the hero ingredient.
