I lead Japanese and other Asian based clients through the ever evolving tax landscape. As a trusted advisor, clients rely on me to guide them through the factors that impact their organisation’s and tax structures, like base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS), the digital economy, CSRD, sustainability and Public Country by Country Reporting regulations (increased reporting compliance), to name just a few. This includes supply chains advisory, assistance with financial transformations, controversy and structuring projects as well as the development of transfer pricing documentation and other compliance and support based documentation needs.

I believe a positive mindset leads to becoming a trusted team player and experience builds that bridge. My experience includes a secondment to Deloitte South Africa where I had the privilege to be exposed to a multitude of cultures. This experience built the foundation on which my Japanese colleagues introduced me to Japan’s specific cultural nuances coupled with an understanding of the “do’s and don’ts”. And it triggered the desire to study Japanese language and culture. This, in conjunction with my experience as an in-house lawyer, has given me the unique ability to understand the perspective of our clients’ day-to-day needs.
