Thijs Poorthuis

Thijs is a Director in the Dutch Debt & Capital Advisory practice with a focus on Structured Finance, having joined the team in 2022 from NIBC Bank where he worked for the previous 12 years.

His experience ranges from setting up capital market transactions (RMBS), private securitisations for corporate clients and setting up OTM / securitisation platforms for residential mortgages. As a Director in the DCA Structured Finance team in Amsterdam he will focus on (private) securitisations for corporates, FSI and FinTech companies.

Thijs obtained a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and passed all three exams of the CFA Institute. Aside from structured finance, he has a passion for long distance sports and hopes to finish a 100k trail run one day.
