Life at Deloitte

Wellness from the inside out!

Decisions magazine - Issue 13

Wellness Week is one week we dedicate every year for our people to learn more about their well-being and get active through talks, workshops and roadshows. This year from 25 to 29 March, our people enjoyed activities that were not only designed to bring fun to the workplace, but also promoted different elements of wellbeing — the mind, body and soul.

Sound Therapy by The Locomotive Co.

Using sound meditation, The Locomotive Co. taught participants how to achieve a deep state of relaxation. The facilitator made use of different "instrument-like" objects and her voice to create natural sounds. It was so relaxing that some participants fell asleep during the session!

Freestyle Group training and Aerial Yoga classes

Freestyle Group Training: “Nothing will work unless you do”. Before partying hard during the weekends, a tight group of four spent 30 minutes training hard and sweating it out in the gym!

Aerial Flow Yoga: Everyone thinks of Aerial Yoga as “the one you hang upside down”. It’s true! We got to try out many different poses during the class.

Deloitte Wellness Bazaar

Our people enjoyed free samples of food, including the popular Smooy Yoghurt, neck massages and body composition analyses at the bazaar. Other booths included Hush Candle, Bake & Bake biscotti and Herbal Sense Essential Oil.

Health talk by Fullerton Health

Professionals from Fullerton Health came down to teach our staff on how to tackle the issue of neck & back pains, a very common issue for office workers.

The second session conducted was on precautions to take to lower the risk of having chronic illnesses.

Skincare talk by NOVU Aesthetics

Having a good skincare routine is important to all, even for guys. NOVU Aesthetics enlightened us on the ways one can take better care of their skin.

JP Morgan Corporate Challenge

With over 500 Deloitte staff participating in this challenge, Deloitte was the largest contingent at the annual JP Morgan run. We emerged as champions in both the men and women category, with Melvin Wong and Jasmine Teo taking the respective titles.

OSIM massage corner

Our staff had the opportunity to relax at the OSIM massage chairs. The chairs were left in the Deloitte training rooms for three days and we spotted some people taking a power nap during lunch because it was just too comfortable to resist!

Core Collective classes

30 of our people attended the wellness classes organised by Core Collective. They participated in 3 different classes — Muay Thai, Hatha Yoga and Circuit Training — and definitely burned loads of calories!
