Q. What is your role in Deloitte?

I am part of the Transfer Pricing team that provides compliance and advisory services to multi-national companies regarding their related party transactions.
 

Q. What is the best thing about working in Tax?

It’s very valuable to get to interact with diverse clients and a chance to understand in detail their business operations in order to provide our services.
 

Q. What should one be prepared for when entering Tax?

Be prepared to learn on the job!
 

Q. What is the best part of your job?

The people – I have awesome bosses, and the colleagues make the time and effort worthwhile.

Your advice to undergraduates

Q. What advice would you offer to undergraduates who want to pursue a career in Tax?

Come in with an open mind, bring your common sense and sense of humour, and you will do fine. We don’t expect you to know rocket science before you can work with us!
 

Q. What advice would you offer to undergraduate in terms of career choices?

If you know what you love and have an opportunity to pursue it, I’d say, go for it. For the many who don’t, fret not, we are all figuring it out along the way, and trying things out only helps to understand yourself better. Once you have stepped into your first job, your priorities and what you want in life becomes much clearer and in focus! Your Deloitte experience
 

Q. What do you like about Deloitte?

Being in a big firm means you get to meet someone new around every corner. Also, I have caring colleagues – everyone’s got everyone’s back covered. At Deloitte, we are open to teaching and helping one another out.
 

Q. What is your happiest moment at work?

When my work is acknowledged and appreciated by the client or other practices overseas, it’s an instant booster.
 

Q. What are some of your most memorable Deloitte experiences?

All the fun activities that Deloitte organises for all the staff. These perks are very pleasant to break the normal work routine.
