Slovak Companies Again Improved their Position in the Ranking of the Fastest-Growing Companies

25 October 2013, Bratislava: Deloitte has announced the 14th annual ranking of Central Europe’s fifty fastest-growing technology companies. The ranking is prepared based on their five-year revenue growth. Slovakia, among another eight countries of the region, was represented by four companies in this year’s ranking.

The Romanian Internet airline ticket retailer, Vola.ro, placed first in Deloitte’s 2013 Central Europe Technology Fast 50 for the third year in a row, with a revenue growth rate of 5,729% over the past five years.

Other fast-growing companies include the system solutions provider, Bitgear Wireless Design Services d.o.o., from Serbia, growing at a rate of 1,872%. The third position belongs to the Polish software company, Softhis Sp. z o.o., with a five-year growth rate of 1,573%.

Among Slovak companies, the Technology Fast 50 was topped by the Internet company WebSupport s.r.o., which is a newcomer to the ranking with an average revenue growth rate of more than 1,000%. This company is one of the largest web hosting providers in Slovakia.
“We are very pleased that we achieved this position in the ranking. This proves that a friendly corporate culture, a relaxed atmosphere and fun can be combined with happy customers, high quality and continuous improvement, which can lead to such attractive and, especially, real business results,” said Michal Truban, company executive.

The antivirus company, ESETspol. s. r.o., which is one of the most successful representatives of Slovakia, ranked second with a growth of 303%. With its extraordinary growth over the past five years, (2008 – 2012), ESET, spol. s. r.o. also dominated the Big 5 subcategory, in which it ranked fourth.

Another newcomer and the only jumper (2nd position in the Rising Star category) with a growth of 979% is the discount portal (Zlavadna.sk) operator, Creative Web, s.r.o., experiencing a boom on the Slovak market in recent years. Creative Web, s.r.o. is the last one on the list of Slovak companies in the ranking. “We are very pleased to have this international award, which is of great satisfaction to the entire Creative Web team. The success of ZlavaDna.sk projects lies in the satisfaction of our partners and customers, a fair approach and relationships built over years. We perceive this reward as a large commitment to them. It greatly increased our desire to work. We like our work and it makes us very happy,” says Zdenko Hoschek, executive at Creative Web operating ZlavaDna.sk projects.

“The activities of the companies appearing in this year’s ranking are perceived by the public as a symbol of the flexibility, creativity and inventiveness of the business community in our region. Many of these companies can be an inspiration for both start-ups and well-established companies that need development and innovation,” said Ivan Lužica, Consulting Partner at Deloitte.

On average, the Fast 50 ranked companies grew at a rate of 671% in 2013, a significant decrease on the 1,026% average growth rate from last year’s competition.
