Women in the Boardroom, Crisis Management and ESG

On 05 March 2020, the Corporate Governance breakfast was held at Deloitte Ukraine’ office. The event was centered around pressing concerns within the boardrooms, current trends and challenges, and key expectations of corporate governance.

The event was attended by representatives of Supervisory Boards and Managements Boards, strategy and business development executives, HR managers from Ukrainian and international companies that operate across diversified sectors of Ukraine.

The breakfast was organized as a moderated discussion around the following topics:

• Women in the Boardroom: 2019 Deloitte Survey and Ukrainian realities
• Stepping in: The role of the boardroom and the Supervisory Board in crisis management
• ESG: Actions the executives can take now and questions they may ask

The discussion was moderated by Irena Ben-Yakar, Partner, Head of Deloitte Center for Corporate Governance at Deloitte Israel.

Our panelists were: Shevki Adjuner, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NPC Ukrenergo and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsya; Olga Bosak, Member of the Supervisory Board of Hydro AS (Norway); and Oksana Volchko, Member of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrpostal on behalf of JSC Ukrgasbank.
