Going behind the scenes for a second look
Deloitte tackles some of our clients' hardest problems, but much of what we do remains tucked away behind the scenes or within a conventional business case study. The impact of our services and solutions, however, is much more profound; those stories and learnings can have a ripple effect. And when we saw the positive human impact of the narratives rise to the surface, it gave us an idea: to completely transform case study storytelling at Deloitte.
Discovery
Exploring the impact of storytelling
We noticed the relative lack of stories being used to communicate the challenges and real human impact of business transformations. That got us thinking about opportunities to bring our capabilities to life in ways that build trust, stick in people's minds, and create authenticity.
- Before launching the program, we researched the state of client storytelling in the marketplace.
- Through our research and combined talents, we built a centralized story home on Deloitte.com to serve as a library of great client stories.
- Those stories now serve as powerful examples of Deloitte's experience and the breadth of our offerings and services.
Solution
Reimagining client stories
Simply put, people are drawn to stories about humanity. That's why we didn't lead with the new app we made for a power company; we revealed how we kept power on during a polar vortex. We didn’t explain project management; we shared how people got to safely work onsite during COVID.
And just as a good story slowly reveals itself, we brought the user through each step at an intuitively responsive pace—with an elegance to the movement and humanity to the design that could only have happened thanks to our unique blend of talents.
