Mark Johnson

Mark is the Managing Partner of the Columbus Marketplace. He oversees the delivery of Deloitte’s services to area clients, including large multinational companies, private and family-owned businesses, government and educational institutions and private equity.

He has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting including advisory services in tax planning, consulting, and compliance with extensive experience in real estate, pass-through entities, and their individual owners. He has performed active consulting for our real estate clients in choice of entity, income and loss allocation, troubled debt restructuring, REIT formation, like-kind exchanges, rehabilitation credits, involuntary conversions, and structuring related to the merger and acquisition of multiple real estate businesses with the use of preferred limited partnerships. In addition to his Managing Partner and client service responsibilities, Mark is the Columbus Office Tax Managing Partner.

He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and has his Master’s in Taxation from Capital Law School. He is a member of The Columbus Partnership, the Ohio Business Roundtable, The Ohio Society of CPA’s, American Institute of CPA’s, and is a Lifetime Trustee for the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus.
