Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC’s (DCF) investment banking associate positions offer motivated individuals an exciting opportunity in a challenging industry. Associates at DCF typically begin as industry generalists in mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”), though industry specialization is allowed and encouraged as experience accumulates. Our associates are provided with opportunities to gain extensive client experience and are active participants throughout the transaction process, including analysis, presentation, and execution. The majority of DCF’s engagements focus on sell-side M&A and capital raising, though the DCF platform has a strong and growing presence in buy-side advisory and restructuring. DCF also has a leading employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) corporate finance practice to which associates are also exposed.
Position description and qualifications
As active participants throughout the transaction process, associates work closely with senior Managing Directors and have substantial interaction with clients. Associate positions are offered in the following offices: Charlotte, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and Detroit.
For the associate program, we recruit candidates with the following key attributes:
- MBA degree required
- Strong analytical financial skills, including financial statement understanding and analysis and financial modeling
- Ability to exercise professional judgment on engagements by providing proactive solutions and recommendations
- Organization and comfort balancing multiple engagements and responsibilities
- High motivation, desiring autonomy and empowerment to manage self and team through engagements
