Transportation summit: Connecting with purpose

Metro Vancouver’s population is projected to increase to 3.8 million people in the next 25 years, adding to the region’s transportation-specific challenges such as traffic congestion and the need for sustainable energy. Success in addressing such roadblocks to make way for a better tomorrow will depend on collaboration between business, academia, and every level of government.

Deloitte convened a transportation summit in May 2023 to bring together leaders in the public and private sectors to consider the best ways to move forward. British Columbia is already home to world-leading expertise in sectors that can contribute to creating solutions, such as clean technology, mining for critical minerals, and digital innovation. This summary of what we explored at the summit looks at:
