Neil Hunter

With over 30 years of industry experience, Neil is the chief learning officer at Deloitte Canada. Prior to this role, he led Deloitte’s Human Capital Workforce Transformation in Western Canada. He has also held senior roles in the energy, public, and not-for-profit sectors. As a former CHRO, Neil brings the best practices in leadership, learning, and end-to-end talent processes to the centre of work.

Today, he focuses on enhancing human performance, bringing potential to life, and improving the overall workforce experience at Deloitte. He is the dean of Deloitte University North and sits on the Deloitte Global Learning Executive. Well versed in leadership development and succession planning, he is sought after for future-proofing people strategies in alignment with evolving business structures. He brings expertise in future of work, culture alignment, change management, DEI, learning transformation, leadership assessment, performance management and coaching, organizational design, employee experience, talent management strategy, and labour relations. All in service of creating workplaces where people can thrive.
