In just eight months - on December 30, 2024 - the EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Supply Chains (Regulation (EU) 2023/1115) will apply in large parts. Under this Regulation, companies that place or make available agricultural commodities (cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood) and certain relevant products on the Union market or export them from the Union market, will be obliged to implement and comply with due diligence obligations.
We will start our legal webcast with an overview of the legal framework, Johannes Passas and Dr. Rudolph Holtz will provide an introduction to the new legal requirements of the EUDR.
Based on the scope of application of the EUDR, Dr. Rudolph Holtz will then explain which products are affected by the Regulation and outline the legal criteria for the classification as operator or a trader under the Regulation.
Dr. Sophie Bings will proceed to give an overview of the new due diligence obligations and outline possible approaches for implementing the due diligence obligations.
This webcast is a valuable opportunity to gain an understanding of the content of the EUDR and the corresponding obligations.
Following the presentations, our speakers will also be available for a detailed Q&A.
Please do not hesitate to submit your questions for the Q&A section when registering.
