Deloitte Tohmatsu Group won Gold Award for 4 consecutive years over “PRIDE Index” –as one of the friendliest companies for LGBT+

Deloitte Tohmatsu Group (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Group CEO: Takashi Nagata) has received Gold Award for 4 consecutive years based on PRIDE Index –which has been set by voluntary organization called “work with Pride”, to acknowledge LGBT+ initiatives at workplaces. PRIDE Index is the very first guideline in Japan established in 2016, to measure the initiatives over sexual minorities such as LGBT+ at work environment, and has been set as the guidelines for the companies to acknowledge the friendly environment for LGBT+ and to empower internal initiatives etc.

LGBT+ initiatives at Deloitte Tohmatsu Group

“Diversity, Equity & Inclusion” has been empowered rather than just “Diversity & Inclusion” at Deloitte Tohmatsu Group. We thrive to empower with the support schemes and opportunities based on each persons’ differences and uniqueness, instead of the one equal scheme for all.
In particular with LGBT+ initiatives, we have been focusing on internal and external enlightenment and education, aiming to expand the allyship with the right knowledge and understanding.

We have been expanding our internal mandatory trainings on LGBT+ with the proper knowledge and actions, followed by separate learning sessions throughout the multiple cities and business entities, as well as providing LGBT+ educational sessions as part of our working experience programs at several schools. We will continue to empower our initiatives to bring on further collective impact to the society, by working along with various stakeholders including Non-Profit Organizations, educational institutions etc.
