Shinichi Takenaka

Shinichi joined Tohmatsu & Co. (current: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC) in 1999 and worked on providing audits for trading companies and foreign companies.
From 2004 until 2006, he moved to London, UK as a trainee, and starting in 2008 he was assigned to the Australia office to experience a wide array of IFRS auditing.
In 2011, Shinichi transferred to the Perth office of Deloitte Australia and was responsible for the statutory audits of Japanese companies as an audit partner.
Shinichi transferred to the Sydney office in 2015 and promoted M&A and technology projects of Japanese companies collaborating with the consulting and tax departments as the Japanese Practice Leader of Australia overall.
In September 2020, he left Deloitte Australia and joined Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC again after 13 years. He currently provides support to strengthen the management system of foreign subsidiaries as well as support concerning balance sheet processes in Accounting Operations Advisory while also leading climate change and ESG services focusing on disclosure as Climate Change/ESG Assurance Leader.
He also serves as the Global Inbound Group (GIG) Leader for Deloitte Tohmatsu Group.
