Acquisition of Košice Aupark Mall Completed
Bratislava, 13 February 2015 – Based on the affirmative decision of the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic, the new owner of the Košice Aupark Mall, the Aupark Tower Košice office building and the Malinovského kasárne project under preparation amounting to EUR 165 million is New Europe Property Investments (NEPI) as of Thursday.
“The transfer of ownership was formally completed by registration in the Commercial Register of the Slovak Republic on Thursday, 12 February 2015,” said Miroslava Terem Greštiaková, attorney-at-law at Deloitte Legal, s.r.o. who dealt with the legal aspects of the transaction on the part of the buyer.
NEPI is a property investment company listed on the Main Board of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the regulated market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
Deloitte Legal’s attorneys-in-law and Deloitte’s transaction and tax advisory experts also provided their advisory services to NEPI in 2013 with respect to its acquisition of Žilina Aupark in Slovakia.

The Košice Aupark Mall has 34 000 m2 of a leasable retail area and 1 100 parking spaces in the centre of Košice. The adjacent Aupark Tower has 12 700 m2 of leasable office premises.
