Global Employer Services case study
The company were interested in reviewing their workforce utilisation, particularly to optimise their approach to posting workers abroad.
Our client was an international leisure travel group operating in 180 countries with a customer base of over 30 million.
The company were interested in reviewing their workforce utilisation, particularly with respect to the group of their 7000 posted employees to optimise their approach to posting workers abroad. The seasonal nature of their business put unique demands on their workforce and the objective was to conduct analysis and provide recommendation on where their posted workers should be contracted from.
How we helped
Deloitte conducted an independent in-depth review of the current deployment models used by the company. Each model assessed the benefits and costs of the approach and identified potential areas for specific improvement in any future state. Deloitte evaluated payroll, contracts, immigration, tax and social security requirements across the posted worker population and deployment models as a means to develop a modernised deployment option aligned with the business core vision.
- Identified that currently the best model for the company was optimising the current state for compliance targets to be achieved.
- A compliant model opens up opportunity for further evaluation to be conducted on whether a new entity, current entity, or outsourced model is most beneficial and cost effective for the company’s future.
- Reached conclusion a future entity to employ posted workers would best be served based within the UK
- Recommended the company extend workforce analysis to employment of local employees.
