Blaine is the national Strategy, Analytics & M&A Leader. As a Consulting partner for Monitor Deloitte, he focuses on public sector strategy and innovation. He has also advised senior executives and boards of Canadian and international clients in both the public and private sectors. Previously, Blaine served as the Chief of Staff to the Managing Partner and Chief Executive of Deloitte Canada, as chair of the Deloitte Foundation in Canada, and as the executive responsible for Corporate Responsibility in Canada.

Blaine helped create and oversee the Future of Canada program, an initiative to analyze and advance causes of significant importance to the country, such as the challenge of productivity. In this capacity, he co-authored a series of publications that received extensive media coverage by a number of publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Globe and Mail, and the National Post.

Before joining Deloitte, Blaine served as an advisor to three senior cabinet ministers in the Government of Canada. He holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Western Ontario and bachelor of social sciences with a concentration in political science from the University of Ottawa.

In 2018, Blaine was selected as one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40.
