Dean Janvier

Dean Janvier is a Partner in Audit & Assurance based out of Calgary, Alberta. Dean brings to Deloitte a broad expertise from both the public and private sector in government relations, corporate governance and management, finance, administration, human resources, communications, industry relations, stakeholder engagement, negotiations, business development, environment, politics and public policy. Selected recent previous experience includes President & CEO of Siksika Group of Companies, private businessman and consultant, elected Band Councillor for Cold Lake First Nations, Band Administrator, and business director, manager and economic development. Dean is a Denesuline member of the Cold Lake First Nations in north-eastern Alberta.

Dean has worked for the Alberta First Nations / FNIHB Health Co-Management Committee as a Facilitator to develop a strategic plan for health transformation in December of 2019. In 2020, Dean chaired daily/ weekly calls among Alberta First Nations, ISC, FNIHB and AHS in response to the Covid-19 Pandemic. As an elected official of Cold Lake First Nations, Dean was responsible for the health portfolio. As part of the AFN, Dean helped negotiate the 2005 First Nations Health Accord and held the health portfolio for the National Chief’s Office.
