Human Capital

Business led, people driven

Organisations are challenged to innovate, digitise, maximise productivity, and create new value, all while reducing risk and contributing to society at a pace that is faster than ever. We can help you create an adaptable organisation, compose a workforce that drives productivity and value, today and in the future; reimagine work to empower your people to find purpose in the impact they bring, and elevate your HR function.

Organisations are being challenged to innovate, digitise, maximise productivity, and create new value, all while reducing risk and contributing to society at a pace that is faster than ever. At the center of all of this is the work itself. When viewed as an outcome, rather than solely a series of processes, work becomes the primary driver of not only productivity, but also innovation, meaning and value.

Deloitte’s Human Capital professionals help organisations drive productivity, value and impact through the organisation, the workforce, and HR. Our professionals leverage research, analytics, technology solutions and industry insights to help you:

  • Create an organisation that is adaptable to change that can respond to the increasing need for transparency in the era of the Social Enterprise
  • Compose a workforce that drives productivity and value—today and in the future
  • Design all aspects of work in a way that allows the worker to find meaning in the work they perform.

Our services

HR Transformation
Some see disruption as a challenge. We see it as an opportunity for your HR organisation to lead the way. As the global leader in HR transformation (HRT), we help you imagine, connect, and leverage strategy, technology and digital enablers to empower HR to solve enterprise-wide issues affecting the business, the workforce and the way work gets done.

Organisation Transformation
We enable organisations to navigate the dynamically evolving world of today, leveraging data, insights, and people centric experiences to manage, optimise and sustain the desired operational and behavioural changes.

Workforce Transformation
Work, workforces and workplaces are responding to technological and societal disruptors at an exponential pace. Success depends on having a strategy that reimagines all aspects of workforce management from accessing, aligning, engaging, rewarding and, ultimately, leading the workforce of the future.

Actuarial Services
Our actuarial team provides life & health and non-life actuarial services to insurers and reinsurers in Switzerland and abroad. Besides traditional actuarial services like reserving, pricing, appointed actuary and actuarial modelling, the team offers services related to actuarial aspects of finance transformation and process automation for financial reporting.

Workers wanted: How the 50plus age group can help tackle the looming labour shortage

Ageing workforce challenge in Switzerland

Each year, retired workers make up a higher proportion of Switzerland’s total population. Meanwhile, the proportion represented by young people entering the labour force remains consistent. The combined impact of these trends means that by 2030, the Swiss labour market is likely to face a shortage of up to half a million workers.

Motivated, optimistic but training neglected

The voice of the workforce in Switzerland

Switzerland’s labour market is in very good shape, with low unemployment, high salaries and a skilled labour force. However, major challenges lie just over the horizon. The trend represented by digitalisation will increasingly force employees to develop new and different skills. Meanwhile, against a backdrop of demographic change and the ageing of society, companies will need to make better use of so far unexploited pools of labour.
