About Us
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
As part of our tailored advisory services in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), we support companies both in use-case specific individual assessments to legally secure individual applications and in the development of comprehensive governance structures for the responsible use of AI. We work hand-in-hand with Deloitte's AI specialists, ensuring that our advice is closely aligned with technical realities.
Use-case specific individual assessment
In use-case specific individual assessments, we assist our clients in legally securing specific AI applications—whether in terms of acquisition, implementation, use, or sale. We analyze whether the use of AI complies with applicable legal requirements, particularly concerning data protection, IT security, liability, AI regulation, and other regulatory requirements as well as ethical standards. A key focus is on examining data processing under the GDPR, especially when using personal data for machine learning. Additionally, we assess potential liability risks, such as those arising from erroneous or discriminatory decisions made by AI. Based on this assessment, we develop tailored recommendations and support our clients in implementing AI applications to avoid legal pitfalls.
AI Governance advisory
Our governance advisory aims to assist companies in developing a sustainable and legally compliant AI strategy. We provide advice on creating or adapting internal company regulations and processes to ensure that AI systems are used ethically and in compliance with the law. This includes developing internal policies on topics such as transparency, accountability, and fairness of AI systems. A particular focus lies on establishing processes for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of deployed AI to ensure that it continues to meet legal and ethical requirements in the long term. In doing so, we consider both existing regulations and legal developments, such as the EU AI Act.
