The carousel of regulatory framework conditions for remuneration systems in credit and financial services institutions continues to turn this year. On June 13, 2024, BaFin published the final version of the "Questions and Answers on the Remuneration Ordinance for Institutions" (FAQ IVV). According to BaFin's announcement, institutions have until December 31, 2024 to reflect on BaFin's answers to the questions raised in the FAQ IVV and implement them in their remuneration systems in a suitable manner. In addition, already at the beginning of 2024, the German legislator announced a first draft law for the implementation of the EU Remuneration Transparency Directive (2023/970/EU) for the summer of 2024. Finally, further individual employment court rulings have been issued in recent months, including on the scope of application of Section 25a (5a) KWG and the effectiveness of (bad) leaver clauses in long-term incentive remuneration components in the IVV environment.
In our webcast, we will explain these current regulatory and employment law developments and outline structuring options for legally compliant implementation.

Dr. Lars Hinrichs, LL.M. (Univ. Stockholm)
Dr. Lars Hinrichs advises national and international clients on all human resources and labour law related issues of German Employment and Labour Law. He is specialiced in the design, implementation and modification of remuneration systems in regulated and non-regulated business sectors (including company pension systems), in the planning and implementation of restructuring measures and transformation processes and in the labour law consultancy of M&A transactions. Lars regularly holds lectures and publishes HR and labour law related articles in HR and legal journals. Lars works for Deloitte Legal since 2019. Before his entry to Deloitte Legal, Lars had worked since 2007 as lawyer in the Labour Law departments of other leading international law firms in Frankfurt and Hamburg.
Leonie Wüpper
Leonie Wüpper joined Deloitte Legal in 2019 and is part of the Service Line Employment Law & Benefits. Besides advising national and international companies across various industries on all areas of individual and collective labor law, she is involved with the design and implementation of remuneration systems in regulated and non-regulated business sectors (including company pension schemes). Leonie also acts as a speaker on external and internal events and as an author of scientific publications on these topics. Before starting her career at Deloitte Legal, Leonie Wüpper studied law in Münster and completed a supplemental law related language training for lawyers in Spanish. During her legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court Hamm, Leonie worked as a Research Associate in the department HR Guidelines & Labor Law at a globally operating enterprise within the construction supply sector in Bielefeld, where she was mainly concerned with collective labor law issues. Leonie speaks German, English and Spanish.
Elisa Ultsch
Elisa Ultsch works as attorney for Deloitte Legal in the Service Line Employment Law & Benefits since 2022. She advises national and international clients in various sectors of individual and collective employment law, with a focus to all questions of company pension schemes. Elisa Ultsch also acts as a speaker on external and internal events and as an author of scientific publications on these topics. Elisa Ultsch studied law at the Greifswald University with a focus on business and labor law. During this time, she worked as research assistant at her alma mater at the chair of medical law, labor law and legal history. She completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart. Before joining Deloitte Legal, she worked in employment law for another leading national law firm. Elisa Ultsch speaks German and English.
Katharina Gohlke
Katharina Gohlke has been working for Deloitte Legal since 2024. As a part of the team of Mr. Dr. Lars Hinrichs, Ms. Gohlke advises national and international clients on all matters regarding human resources and labor law issues under German labor law. Her specialization lies in the design, implementation and adjustment of compensation systems in regulated and unregulated economic sectors (with a focus on the financial services sector and company pension systems), the planning and implementation of restructuring measures and transformation processes, as well as employment law advice on M&A transactions. Ms. Gohlke studied law at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and was a legal trainee at the Higher Regional Court of Celle. Before joining Deloitte Legal, Katharina Gohlke worked as a lawyer in another international law firm. Katharina speaks German and English.
