"Ascendis Health is a fast growing health and care company selling a portfolio of market-leading brands. Founded in 2008 in South Africa, the group’s strategy is based on organic, acquisitive and synergistic growth locally and internationally. As part of their international acquisition strategy, Ascendis Health succesfully acquired Scitec International, a leading sports nutrition company selling products in nearly 90 countries under the Scitec Nutrition brand from Enterprise Investors, a Warsaw based private equity firm. Deloitte provided transaction servies to Ascendis Health.
For me this deal was especialy important, as I was member of the team in 2012 when Deloitte advised the that time owner in selling the company to Enterprise Investors. The development of the company over this short period was impressive. Being familiar with the industry and the operation of the subject company is essential in any due diligences and our past experience with Scitec proved this thesis well."
