“We saw a high level of competition during the transaction process given that Arena Plaza is ranked as the 2nd largest retail center of Budapest with remarkable operational performance. Our UK and Hungarian teams worked closely together to meet complex project challenges (i) liaising with a large pool of international potential investors to increase competition, (ii) create a transaction structure ensuring maximisation of return for existing shareholders and lenders, which would also be acceptable for the new investor, (iii) in a tax compliant transaction structure while (iv) smoothly managing a transaction with 100+ stakeholders.”
