Uniper has entered into a share purchase agreement for the sale of 100 % of the shares in Uniper Hungary Energetikai Kft. to Veolia Invest Hungary Zrt, a subsidiary of Veolia S.A. Uniper Hungary Energetika Kft. owns and operates Gönyű Power Plant, which is one of the largest operating gas fired power plants and an important provider of ancillary services in the Hungarian energy market. Closing of the disposal is subject to various regulatory approvals which are expected to be obtained in H2 2024. Deloitte assisted Uniper in the transaction by preparing a financial and tax fact book and a carve-out concept document.
