Deloitte Tohmatsu Group Elected New Chair of the Board and Group CEO for the Next Term

Deloitte Tohmatsu Group (Deloitte Japan) announced that it had elected new leadership responsible for governance and execution of the business for the next fiscal year (FY23, from June 2022 to May 2023) and onward. In accordance with internal rules, the Nomination Committee nominated a candidate to the Board, followed by a resolution of the Board with subsequent approval at the general assembly of the Group’s Partners.

As the primary authority of the Group’s governance, Chair of the Board is responsible for running the Board at Deloitte Tohmatsu Group, which is an ultimate management decision-making organization. The Group CEO represents the Group as the most senior officer in the management structure. Being responsible for leading the Executive Committee, composed of the leaders of the five businesses and executive officers of the Group, the Group CEO ensures that the Group’s management is aligned with the direction set forth by the Board.
