For the first time, the award ceremony was organised completely digitally. The presentation took place on Wednesday evening, November 25. Otrium can call itself the fastest-growing technology company in the Netherlands. Otrium was founded in 2015 and took home the Rising Star award last year. It is a platform on which fashion brands can sell their leftover stocks at a discount.

Zivver finished in second place, with a revenue growth of 7,082 per cent. Zivver is the service with which you can exchange information (email, chat and (large) files) easily and securely, anywhere in the world. Zivver had already been nominated for the Rising Star award in 2018. The third place went to Windowsketch, with a revenue growth of 6,550 per cent. Windowsketch offers advertisers digital advertising space on POS (point of sale).

Bart de Vries, partner at Deloitte and programme leader of the Technology Fast 50: “2020 is a very special and difficult year for many organisations. Start-ups and scale-ups are looking for knowledge, money and partners to further grow their company, especially in these times. It's great that we can give innovative organisations extra recognition through this award.”

Rising Star 2020 and Most Disruptive Innovator

Fast-growing companies less than four years old competed for the Rising Star award in the afternoon. The Most Disruptive Innovator award is the prize for the company that, according to the jury, has developed the most disruptive technology. Lightyear was the winner in both categories. The independent jury assessed nine nominees on, amongst other things, scalability, innovative strength and sales potential.

Most Sustainable Grower

Sendcloud, winner of The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in 2017, won this year's award for Most Sustainable Grower. This is the award for the company that has been in the ranking for the longest consecutive time. Sendcloud is Europe's number one e-commerce shipping platform. Sendcloud has been in the Technology Fast 50 ranking with the highest rating for four years in a row and already won the Rising Star award in 2014.
