Deloitte China announced today the opening of the Hefei office, the 18th office of the firm's service network in China since its first presence in this marketplace in Shanghai in 1917. The China practice has been an integral part of the Deloitte global organization and the opening of the Hefei office is expected to invigorate the development of the firm’s business in Eastern China.
Deloitte China CEO Lawrence Chia said “Under Hefei’s 13th five year plan, one of the strategic missions is to achieve double digit economic growth. We are further convinced by a series of indicators which point to the positive momentum of Hefei’s economy. As Hefei embarks on the journey to become a national hub for high-end industries and a globally recognized city of innovation, it will attract many foreign companies and increase the service demand related to foreign investment. We have decided to open an office in Hefei at this time as we are committed to our client-centric service principle – expanding our office network to where there is a huge service demand from clients."
Deloitte China Eastern Region Managing Partner Patrick Tsang said "Hefei is the capital for the Anhui Province and it is also the hub for manufacturing and high technology industries. It has also been aggressive in reinventing itself to become a commercial logistic, finance and information technology centre. Guided by its new strategic development plan, Hefei needs the support from different stakeholders to reap the gains from stable economic growth. Deloitte hopes to leverage our professional experience to help companies capture this wave of unprecedented opportunities brought about by the rapid growth of Hefei."
"Deloitte has built its service network in the Yangtze River Delta region by establishing offices in Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Suzhou. As early as 2006, the State Council proposed to establish the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, which has been exploring how to collaborate closely with the Anhui province. The establishment of the new office in Hefei will enable Deloitte to enhance its capability to provide full service support to companies in the Yangtze River Delta Region and we also hope to facilitate dialogues that are necessary to facilitate the growth of the region," said Sophia Zhu, Office Managing Partner of Deloitte Nanjing.
The Hefei office will be a new window for Deloitte to provide professional services to clients, and added to our service network including Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Harbin, Hong Kong, Jinan, Macau, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Tianjin, Wuhan, and Xiamen. It will expand our service coverage in Eastern China and strengthen our professional support to clients in this region.
