Workshop #35: Hong Kong capital markets update and introduction to green and sustainable finance

At this webinar, Deloitte professionals will provide the latest regulatory update on Hong Kong's capital market landscape in particular to the various market consultations and conclusions, as well as insights on green and sustainable finance, with introductions to related concepts, trends in regulatory and reporting requirements, and methodologies to support implementation.

Edward Au, Managing Partner, Southern Region 

Edward Au is Deloitte China Southern Region Managing Partner. He is responsible for Deloitte China's offices in Southern China, which encompasses Hong Kong SAR, Changsha, Guangzhou, Hainan, Macau SAR, Shenzhen and Xiamen, and with a focus on the development of the practice in the Greater Bay Area. He drives service and practice transformation, fosters talent development and advances the Firm’s presence across the region.  

He was also co-leader of the Firm’s National Public Offering Group and has been involved in various debt and equity offering activities in Hong Kong, the US, and Singapore. He is one of the firm’s spokespeople on IPOs and capital market in media interviews and a frequent speaker at external seminars. 

Edward also contributes to organizations and the community in Hong Kong through his service to professional bodies including the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), Hong Kong Red Cross and the Construction Industry Council of Hong Kong.

Melissa Fung, Partner, Risk Advisory

Melissa Fung, who has over 20 years of professional experience in the risk management and internal audit and ESG reporting fields, is the Business Risk Leader in Deloitte Risk Advisory practice in Hong Kong.

Melissa has clients in a wide spectrum of industries including the public sector, energy and resources, real estate development, construction, hotels, advertising, telecommunications, manufacturing and retail.

Melissa was a regular speaker of ESG topics in different professional organisations, such as HKICPA, CPA Australia and Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute. She is also a member of the Sustainability Committee of HKICPA.
