GOVERNANCE

Who are you as a leader? How do you go about strategic change? To answer these questions, we will discuss topics such as corporate governance and the dynamics in the boardroom. In addition, we will dive into leadership and behavior.
Professional speakers will give you insights into the basics of corporate governance and share personal experience of the dynamics in the boardroom.
PERSONAL BRANDING

How do you deal with headhunters? What is the importance of due diligence when accepting a role as a director, board member or member of a supervisory board?
During our program, you will work on your personal branding and other indispensable soft skills to answer these questions. Lobbying, personal styling, positioning, and building your network are all part of the program.
VALUABLE NETWORK

Leading Women on Boards is a unique program where you will build strong mutual ties in an intimate setting and at unique locations in the Netherlands. You will meet your other female leaders at our events, in our development program or online. The ties that you will build shall endure a lifetime and will help you to be successful as a female leader.
Our Development Programs

Corporate Sector
The Leading Women on Boards program focuses on women in the Corporate Sector who have the ambition to hold a position on the executive or supervisory board within three years. Beside this, the program is also open to women who have recently entered the boardroom.

Women on Boards English
The Women on Boards English edition is especially developed for international women seeking to take the next step towards a boardroom position in the Netherlands or for women who have recently been admitted to the board of directors or supervisory board. During this program English will be the main language.
Corporate Sector
Are you an ambitious woman who has recently made the step to a supervisory board or executive board or do you have the ambition to make this step within now and 3 years? If so, this 11-day intensive course is entirely suited to your learning and development needs.

This year, we are organising the 12th edition Women on Boards! Anyone joining a board or supervisory body faces great challenges and surprises. With the right tools to conduct board discussions and a network of women in similar positions to exchange experiences with, you will have a solid foundation. Deloitte's varied Women on Boards program offers you this unique combination.
What will the Women on Boards course bring?
The Women on Boards program is designed to help you increase and/or broaden your knowledge and skills on relevant topics, from corporate governance, risk and crisis management and innovation to boardroom dynamics, boardroom effectiveness and personal branding. Together, you will explore business cases, exchange knowledge and experience in interactive work formats and work on your hard and soft skills.
In addition, the program offers plenty of opportunity to build a network with the other participants and teachers. In a confidential atmosphere and at unique locations in the Netherlands, you will build a strong mutual bond. A bond that will not end after this program and that will help you operate successfully as a director or supervisory director.

- Women who have recently joined the executive board and/or supervisory board
Before starting the course, you will have an intake interview to determine your expectations and personal learning goals.

Theme: Connect for impact, Boardroom Governance & Dynamics
Purpose: Kick-off of the programme and insight into dealing with governance and dynamics in the boardroom
Day 2
Theme: Leadership & Boardroom effectiveness
Purpose: Increasing your impact within the board and building blocks for a diverse and effective team
Day 3
Theme: Position in the BoD vs. Supervisory Board & personal positioning
Goal: How do I acquire a position as director, supervisor or supervisory director?
Day 4
Theme: Psychological safety
Goal: Gain insight into the importance of psychological safety for innovation, wellbeing and inclusiveness and the role of leadership in creating a safe culture
Virtual networking opportunity
Theme: Boardroom Business & Experience
Purpose: The networking carousel is designed to simulate a (virtual) networking event where you meet people who could be valuable to your network.
Day 5
Theme: Sustainability: Broader Perspectives for the Boardroom
Goal: Update knowledge and develop insight into your own role as director or supervisory director
Day 6
Theme: Boardroom Presence & Impact
Goal: Optimise soft skills for board members and supervisory directors aimed at balancing inner strength and outer positioning

Women on Boards English

Theme: Introduction to Corporate Governance & Let's connect
Purpose: Kick-off and insight into managing dynamics in the
boardroom and the Corporate Governance Code (overview)
Day 2
Theme: Boardroom dynamics & effectiveness
Purpose: Insight into managing dynamics, increasing your impact within the board and build a diverse and efficient team
Day 3
Theme: Governance and long-term value creation
Purpose: Understanding the relationship between the Supervisory Board and the Managment Board and how to obtain a boardroom position
Day 4
Theme: Stakeholermanagement, culture & personal presence
Purpose: Deep dive in the Governance Code, gaining insight into how you present yourself and your personality profile
Day 5
Theme: Boardroom themes & crisis management
Purpose: Linking developments in the market to the boardroom and gaining insight into three phases of crisis management
Day 6
Theme: Dialogical leadership & intervision
Purpose: Insight into your preferred leadership style and reviewing your personal challenges
Day 7, 8 & 9
Theme: Personal branding, boardroom presence & the invisible network
Purpose: To optimize soft skills for board members and supervisory boardmembers- lobbying, networking and personal branding
Practical Information
Frequently Asked Questions
When will I get my certificate of participation? When will I get the reference?
Within two weeks after the course has taken place you will receive the certificate and references.
Complaints Procedure
Deloitte has an adequate complaints procedure in place. Complaints will be handled confidentially and within four weeks. If a longer time is needed to conduct an investigation, the participant will be informed of this within four weeks with an indication of the term within which Deloitte expects to be able to give a definite answer. Complaints and handling will be registered and kept for a period of two years.
In addition, the participant may submit the complaint or dispute to one (or more) of the bodies created for this purpose, such as the complaint and disciplinary law of the Dutch Professional Organization of Accountants (www.nba.nl), the disciplinary law of the Register Belastingadviseurs (www.rb.nl) or the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (www.nob.net). The judgment of the professional organization is binding; any consequences are dealt with quickly.
Cancellation and Transfer Conditions
Until four weeks before the start of the course you may cancel your participation by email. Transfer to a different date involves costs. Should you cancel within four weeks before the start of the course you will have to pay the full course fee.
Deloitte Academy reserves the right, when circumstances force it to do so, to cancel a course. You will be informed as timely as possible.
Accredited Educational Institution
Deloitte Academy is an accredited training institute. We follow the guidelines of the NBA according to the new PE-system per 1 January 2021. Deloitte Academy has the NRTO quality mark.
The Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB)
Deloitte Academy is of the opinion that the training courses we organize meet the minimum conditions for education as stated in the PE-regulations of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers and for the number of hours that can be contributed to the PE obligation of NOB-members.

CRKBO
The Central Register for Short Professional Education lists educational institutions that comply with the Quality Code for Training Institutions for Short Professional Education.
The learning lines for healthcare and educational institutions are organized by the Deloitte Academy in cooperation with Deloitte Education. Deloitte Education B.V. is registered with the CRKBO.
The tax authorities set registration in the appropriate CRKBO register as a condition for eligibility for VAT exemption. Registration is possible if you can submit the appropriate certificates or diplomas. You have a 14-day reflection period at all times.
