A journey to positive self-talk
A WorkWell podcast with Rebekah Taussig
Honoring and celebrating our bodies
Self-love is vital to self-care and well-being. Unfortunately, our society has created an image of what a healthy body looks like that is not only inaccurate but is also damaging. Our bodies are amazing and instead of putting ourselves down for what makes us unique, we should be honoring and celebrating it.
On this episode, Deloitte chief well-being officer Jen Fisher talks with Rebekah Taussig, the author of the book, Sitting Pretty, The View from My Ordinary Resilient, Disabled Body, and disability advocate, known for her Instagram @sitting_pretty.
I think so much of it had to do with becoming more aware of the story of my body. Thinking about my body over the span of my life, and its presence in every single story that I've lived, and how my body has shown up for me.
