The senior consultant position in our Strategy & Operations service area provides a combination of accelerated learning and skill development, and personal growth. Here you will be able to apply your capabilities and talent toward both helping clients in their efforts to solve their complex business issues and helping them through to implementation. There are opportunities to join either the Commercial or the Federal Practice.
What we look for
We are seeking exceptional individuals from select schools. Qualified candidates will possess the following characteristics:
- MBA degree with 3-5 years work experience, preferably in a large company
- Solid history of superior personal achievement in school and work
- Strong analytical skills
- Leadership and team-building capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to travel frequently (required)
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain US Government clearance (for Federal candidates)
Deloitte supports your progression through the well-defined career path by providing challenging assignments, mentoring, and formal training.
During your first two to three years you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments that reflect the range of services we provide and industries we serve. You will work as a member of a project team, typically between 4 and 10 people, on assignments involving such diverse topics as corporate strategy, merger integration, supply chain strategy, and innovation and growth.
2-4 years - Lead and evaluate analysis to draw conclusions and develop insightful recommendations and solutions; design deliverable content
3-6 years - Plan and manage moderately complex engagements; structure, review, and validate analysis and recommendations
4-6 years - Provide overall engagement management; integrate recommendations into a solution for the client
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives; identify sales opportunities; direct engagement management

The Senior Consultant Training Program includes seminars on how to manage change, ask the right questions as consultants, framing discussions, and persuasion techniques. Participants work in teams on a simulated client engagement to solve many common client challenges.
